Host of upgrades released for award-winning quality management platform

A host of enhancements to the award-winning quality management tool, QTrak, have been released by quality management services provider, G&P.

The package of upgrades has been introduced in response to ongoing feedback from users which will facilitate even easier use in manufacturing environments, an enhanced user experience, as well as improved language translations to further expand usage among large, multinational manufacturers.

Developed in-house by G&P, QTrak is a cloud-based quality management IT system. Operating in real time, the supplier quality performance data collected by the system provides insights into quality trends and stability levels which can help to highlight those suppliers that present the greatest risk to future non-conformance. By adopting this proactive and targeted approach, users can avert potentially disruptive issues, saving significant costs and reducing waste.

Indeed, in 2021 alone, G&P prevented more than 61 million non-conforming parts from entering the supply chain with the use of QTrak.

“QTrak is already highly regarded across a range of industries such as automotive, for its ability to allow quicker quality management decisions to be made in real time,” explains Simon Francis, group quality director, G&P. “However, as part of our continuous improvement process and our experiences of working directly with OEMs, our latest enhancements are designed to take operator usability to a new level.”

Among the enhancements in the latest upgrade include a reduced screen size to give users even greater mobility, simplification of on-screen graphics to provide even easer operation and further elimination of user error when wearing gloves or other PPE, as well as a wireless network prohibition solution which avoids any possible impact on clients’ own Wi-Fi networks.

“With many OEMs and tier suppliers ramping up production again after the global pandemic, it is imperative that quality standards are maintained, or even improved. We’re confident that these latest developments to QTrak will provide even greater levels of usability, helping manufacturers across the globe achieve these goals,” concludes Francis.
